![]() ![]() Have a listen to this tune which suggests a gentler way of going about handing things out. The right wing press came right back with one rodney suggesting that socialism was responsible for the desperate poverty inflicted on hundreds of millions (and by extension charity people are all lefties whom we will label ‘sexual abusers’ just to put them in their place). Letra da msica Ripple de Grateful Dead - If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine / And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung / Would you hear my. A charity came right out and said that capitalism distributes the rewards of market activity inequitably (and by extension is responsible for poverty). ![]() On the other hand we can’t help wondering about the vehemence of the right wing press in pursuing certain people and organisations in this matter. We like to believe in the inherent goodness of all folk but we also believe that if you abuse your position of help/power/doing right then you are a horrible human being and completely lost to us. We remain connected to the outside world through the regular channels however and news reached us that there has been a right old kerfuffle about the wrong doings of the charity sector with some coming in for particular attention. Phil - after Franken & Davis interrupt he and Jer lining up the show in their room, knocking over a set of guitars, "Who ARE you people!?" I don't have the tape anymore and I've never seen it on The Archive or anywhere.Given the inclement weather and the fact that we forgot to buy Our Glorious Leader (The Editor) a Valentine’s Day card we have chosen to repair to The Bunker for a few days to drown our sorrows and wait until the worst of His temper has subsided. When she died in 2010, we incorporated her favorite Grateful Dead song on her headstone reading 'ripple in still water'. You’ve got to find what enlightenment you can by yourself. No one can really give you a roadmap to show you the way. To me it speaks to how personal a journey the road to enlightenment is. I thought it was a Radio City skit but, maybe it was Warfield? It was absolutely hilarious 'dem meetin' the Boyz: What is the meaning of the song Ripple, by the Grateful Dead Ripple probably speaks to each listener in a different way, it’s that good a song. Those two are must-haves!!!īTW, 41 years ago, I just happened to record those Franken & Davis antics from a 1980 Halloween Cleveland radio broadcast. To soften the typical harshness of the SBD, I added reverb in Sound Forge and manually toned down the louder portions of High Time with the Graphic EQ so the overall song is more even. The only unfortunate aspect of saving two perfectly played songs is some PA fuzz 2/3 the way through High Time. I dumped the electric sets after pasting these two singles together to create the most precious fifteen minutes I've heard in a long, long time. The mellow-ness is "just exactly perfect" to pull it off: soft, sweet, and lyrical. I will say this is one of those mellower nights where Jerry sings the most beautiful Peggy-O and High Time in the canon. Rosley that things are a bit uninspired there but, it's hard getting past Bobby's mic being so hot and upfront to get through the entire electric show and comment on the third set. ![]() If it wasn't for that, I'd give this show two stars for the electric being below average. Always special to have a rare acoustic set. The acoustic stuff here is as gorgeous as anything they’ve ever done. Doug The Dude is absolutely on the money in another upload. ![]()
